Holborn & St Pancras

Holborn & St. Pancras, which stretches from Highgate in the north to Covent Garden in the south, has one of the largest and most diverse electorates in London.

The constituency contains some of the most famous institutions in England, ranging from the British Museum and British Library, to numerous teaching hospitals, King’s Cross and Euston stations, Primrose Hill and Camden Market, Parliament Hill and Highgate Cemetery.

The seat was created in 1983 as a successor to Holborn & St. Pancras South, which had been in existence since 1950. Gospel Oak and Highgate were added to the constituency in 2005 as the result of boundary changes following the General Election.

It consists of 11 wards:

  • Bloomsbury
  • Camden Town with Primrose Hill
  • Cantelowes
  • Gospel Oak
  • Haverstock
  • Highgate
  • Holborn & Covent Garden
  • Kentish Town
  • King's Cross
